The Role

Swim Advisors are experienced higher education leaders who contribute to client engagements where insight and execution matter most.

Advisors bring a practitioner’s perspective. They have led teams, built strategy, and navigated institutional challenges in real time. At Swim, they extend our work by providing specialized expertise and additional capacity where it is needed.

This is a project-based role. Advisors are engaged based on institutional need and alignment with their experience.

How You’ll Contribute

As a Swim Advisor, you may:

• Provide subject matter expertise to help shape strategy and direction
• Support analysis, data synthesis, and development of insights
• Contribute to implementation planning and execution support
• Participate in client meetings, workshops, and working sessions
• Support the development of deliverables aligned to Swim’s approach

You will work alongside Swim’s internal team, contributing to defined components of engagements.

Areas of Expertise

• Enrollment strategy and performance
• Online and graduate program growth
• Workforce and community partnerships
• Instructional design and academic delivery
• Human resources and organizational structure
• Academic scheduling and operational efficiency
• Research and institutional advancement
• International enrollment and program development

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership experience in higher education or a related field
• Experience at the director level or above
• Demonstrated success in areas such as enrollment, retention, student success, or institutional operations
• Ability to translate strategy into practical, actionable steps
• Strong communication and facilitation skills
